Sodium Aluminate (SAX)

Unlike other aluminum based products that are acidic, SAX solutions are alkaline. Due to the high pH of SAX, SAX is commonly used in combination with other conventional coagulants in water treatment as well as in paper making applications. SAX is an excellent choice for nutrient removal applications in wastewater treatment where high removal rates on phosphorus are required under minimal reduction of alkalinity.
